Amber Brown
Director of Community Events

Amber Brown is a survivor of the Las Vegas Route 91 shooting in October 1, 2017.

Amber was working on her PhD when her shooting occurred, and subsequently took 4-year leave of absence before returning to her program in Organizational Leadership. She became a member of The Rebels Project in 2018 when she was invited to a fundraiser by another Route 91 survivor.  Amber was a quiet observer until Covid-19 when a member of the leadership team invited her to "driveway coffee." From there, she quickly bonded with other survivors and officially became an ambassador for The Rebels Project. In 2022, she took on The role of Director of Community Events

Amber is a California native, but moved to Colorado in 2010. Amber is passionate about ensuring survivors have a supportive community to help with the healing journey. In addition to her work with The Rebels Project, she works in Knowledge and Change management for a local credit union and lives with her boyfriend and son. She enjoys yoga, crafting, and spending time with family and friends.
